A humble start...

 ...to a "new" army.

I started a beastman army for age of sigmar but the game never really took off in my game community, sadly. I love fantasy gaming and it seemed like a rich game setting but I think people were put off by the kind of rocky rules as was I. But with a small emerging interest in Warhammer: The Old World I think I have a chance to finish a small band of chaos monstrosities and use them a few times. This blog is planned to be the diary of that progress. I intend to do an entry at least weekly showing progress and talking about the army.

So lets start out with what I have mostly done, what I want to add, and what that looks like work wise.

Forgive the photo quality, I'm no photographer and I have no good light space for this stuff so you get crappy photos but they *should* convey what is there. This is what is painted or started and you can see most of it is done. I've got a nice mob of four 1985 GW Minotaurs on the back left there and my leadership is mostly 80's metals; a beast lord, a shaman, and a battle standard bearer. That "doom bull" looking guy is just a single plastic "bullgor" from the age of sigmar era (well from end of the old world but whatever).

Going on from here I want to paint my battle standard bearer and make a banner for him, touch up the minotaur band and put them on round bases to match the others, and maybe rebase the "doom bull" so that it matches the rest.

The battle standard bearer
ripped them off their bases
This is by no means a playable army within the context of the army building rules...but screw those I prefer the rule of cool. But I am also wanting to add more so I fidgeted with the army builds and settled myself to take out the "doom bull" and add in six Besitogrs that could act as body guard to someone in the command. I did make the beast lord the general so that in all ways I safely fit within the rules but the chances I get to play I don't think anyone would care anyway.

When next I make an entry I will show the updated minotaurs and the finished battle standard even if the flag isn't done.
